2 | ORANGE GOAT CHEESE SALAD

Who said salads are only for the warm season? Not me for sure! At this time of a year you can mix/etc your salad up with - just for an example - oranges, cinnamon, apples or cheese and you've got a delicious wintery lunch. There are hundreds of ways to make a salad, just find the one that feels right today.

People who know me well could tell you I put cinnamon and ginger in almost everything I eat. This orange goat cheese salad is no different since I do think we need some spices to warm us up in these cold winter days. I recommend you to eat this as a side salad, but if you add some chickpeas in it it'll make a good meal as well.

ORANGE GOAT CHEESE SALAD

2-3 dl cauliflower (chopped)
ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, salt, pepper
1 orange
some lettuce
raisins, nuts and seeds to taste
60 g goat cheese

1. Start with cauliflower. Set it to a tray and add spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt and pepper) to taste. Bake in the oven (about 200*C) about 20 minutes or until got some colour. Leave to cool.
2. Peel the orange, and chop it into slices. Chop the lettuce as well, and add both of them into a bowl.
3. Add raisins, nuts, seeds and cauliflower. Mix well.
4. Chop goat cheese into slices and put them to the top of the bowl.
5. Enjoy!

1 | CHRISTMAS BUCKET LIST

It's finally the first of December! Who else is excited about that? Christmas is one of my favourite holidays by far and I can't wait to share with you all the festive posts I've been writing for this blogmas. I've also planned some nice things to do this month (in real life), and since I love all kind of lists I put them all down.

I wrote just "Visit a local Christmas Market", but actually I'm going to visit two of them! Here in Helsinki we have Helsinki Christmas Market which is opening within two days. It's always very beautiful and people are so happy with all the festive stuff around, that I'll definitely visit it more than once. This year I'll also visit Porvoo Christmas Market since Porvoo (one of the most beautiful cities in Finland) has been on my "to go" list for over a year and I do want to see what it looks like at this time of a year.

My  favourite thing on this bucket list is maybe the last one, "Throw a candy cane hunt for your little siblings (or other children)". I found the idea from Pinterest about a month ago and decided to do it myself too. It'll be so much fun to hide candy canes in the garden and then watch the little ones running around looking for them.

What are you going to do this Christmas?
